WFCS 107.7 The Edge recently took a trip to New York City to attend the IBS Conference. The IBS is a 3-day conference for college radio stations. The benefit of this is that they hold a series of panels leading professionals in the industry. Topics covered ranged from FCC rules, radio production tips, and getting to meet real on air talent from local radio stations in New York City. This year the iHeartMedia company was nice enough to lend their time to for students to ask them questions and get real answers.

It was a learning experience for our DJs and e-Board because panels were geared towards bettering the station and learning management skills. Not only were the panels helpful, it was great to bond with the members of the e-Board and learn teamwork skills that we could bring back to the station.
