WFCS Wins 2022 Outstanding Student Organization

On Friday, May 6th, 2022 WFCS Radio won Outstanding Student Organization of the Year.

In the spring semester alone, WFCS was able to welcome approximately 30 new DJs to the station. This largely changed the dynamic in the station, as it had previously been lacking in members due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With virus-related restrictions, it was difficult to introduce new faces to the radio as training did not occur in the Fall 2020 semester. Training resumed in the Spring of 2021, but there was little interaction with the club due to less students being on campus. This year, WFCS had the opportunity to flourish and the Training Director, in conjunction with the rest of the staff, worked tirelessly to interview, pair, and train student after student on our equipment.

We are incredibly happy with our high level of recruitment in the Spring 2022 semester. We give special thanks to all who worked to train DJs: Gil Gigliotti, Derrick Rawson, Carolyn Martin, Justin Hall, Agatha Hueller, JP Bonilla, Garrett Copeland, and Amanda Schmidt.
